ACADEMIC TUTORING:

ART, Exploration of Art Mediums:

  • Description: This class will focus on exploring different art mediums such as pencil charcoal, watercolor, and acrylics.

BALLROOM, Intro Into Ballroom Dance:

  • Taught by: Joshua Reich

  • Cost: $70/month
  • When: Fridays 12:00-1:00
  • Description: An hour-long class, focused on partner-based dances. The dances will be split into three week increments and will include Ballroom Dances (Waltz, Night-club two-step, and tango), Swing Dances (East Coast Swing, Lindy Hop, and Hussle), and Latin Dances (Salsa, Merengue, and Cha-Cha). The curriculum will be based on learning how the dance is lead and followed, not choreography.

BAKING CLASS:

  • Description: Students learn to bake with wholesome, fresh ingredients and natural sweeteners like agave and maple syrup. They bake a new creation each week and take home what they’ve made for the rest of the family to share!

CAMP WEEKs (Monthly 3 Day Camp):

  • When: Tuesday-Thursday 9AM-1PM
  • Description: Join us during the off-week of school. Students will participate in various activities including playing outdoors, tending the garden, art activities, story time, daily meal/snack creations using items from the garden when available, swimming (weather permitting), financial literacy games, fun math games, and much more. Students are free to bring their own games as well.

ETIQUETTE & SOCIAL SKILLS:

  • Description: Learn proper etiquette, manners, representing yourself, and more.

ENTREPRENOUR CLUB:

GARDEN CLUB:

  • Description: We want to create happier, healthier kids learning in the garden and connection to nature. Gardening improves kids’ lives,  their communities, and the planet. Gardening engages every child’s innate wonder and care for the natural world, offers them opportunities to participate in hands-on learning, and teaches them where their food comes from.

HORSEMANSHIP:

  • Description: Learn to safely catch, lead, groom, saddle, and ride horses.

Music (Creative Music For Children):

  • Cost: $30 or $45 per month
  • When: Wednesdays 1:30-2:30pm
  • Description: Students will learn about composers, music theory, cultural music, musical instruments, and story telling through music in a fun exciting environment. All students attend class from 1:30-2:00. Students ages 3-7 are dismissed at 2:00.

SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL:

  • 2 Groups: Ages 7-13 Shakespeare & Ages 12+ Advanced Shakespeare
  • Cost: $380 or 420 for 3 months of classes/practices
  • Performances of Romeo & Juliet in 12 Minutes, Pyramus &Thisbe, and A Winter’s Twelfth Night
  • When: Wednesdays 1:30-2:45 or Fridays 1-3PM
  • Description: SEE FLYER ABOVE for more details. Included for each student is the 3 day Shakespeare Festival March 22-24, classes from professionals, performing and performances every night, family tickets for the performances, and more!

SPANISH, Conversational Spanish for Beginners:

  • Description: This class is focused on basic conversational Spanish and is ideal for families who want to share a new experience with their children. We will cover different topics of conversation and start out with basic words.

STAGECRAFT:

  • Description: Students will help design the props, sets, and costumes for the spring Shakespeare festival. They will also have the opportunity to be on the stage crew during the shows.

 

Mommy & Me:

  • For parents *Moms & Dads (littles are invited to come hang with us if you want to bring them)
  • Cost: $45/month/family
  • When: Tuesdays 12:00-1:00
  • Description: Kathryn is an experienced mother and mentor for families. Raising her 5 children and building the AFE community has given her so many wonderful reasons to study and improve her skills. The foundation for this discussion group will come from Scriptures, the book: Hold onto Your Kids by Gordon Neufeld, Ph.D. and the Conscious Discipline program by Becky Bailey.
